Applying for ALTA Membership for the first time? Here's some helpful information...

Library Boards: Our online membership application form works by creating a "Group" membership for brary Boards:your board. Have one person (Board Chair, Library Manager, Board Secretary) fill out the application form. They will enter their own personal information where asked and will become the group administrator. Once you have filled out all areas of the application form, you will be asked for payment.

If payment is made online - your group account will be activated immediately.

If payment is to be mailed in - your group account will need to be manually activated by ALTA's Admin Staff. This will take 24-48 hours.

Once your account is activated, login with your email and password where asked. Your profile page will open and this page will allow you to manage your "group" by adding in additional members. Here is where you enter in the information for each of your board Trustees. Every trustee is a valued member of ALTA and will be provided with their own login name and password to use on the site. They will be able to access their own personal profile, our discussion forum and the Library News and Notes blog. You will be able to enter in 10 additional members (not including your group administrator). Library System members do not have a limit to the number of members at this time.

The group administrator will be able to change the members of your group at any time - so if you change Board Trustees throughout the year please remember to go in and update your list.

Individual Members: With individual memberships, please enter all of the required information on our membership form. You will be provided with a login name and password for the site. This will allow you to access your own profile and to make any changes to your account.
